about
Vile Ent is a Vocalist, Percussionist, and Programmer who has played with Violent Christ, Infernal Majesty, Big John Bates (in Bates Motel), Ligeia (CAN), and Witchsnake, to name only a few. His debut 4-song EP, entitled "Road Rash" is about to blow the minds of the unsuspecting listening public. The EP features blistering guitar work and hard-edged programming by MrBUMP, and was produced by the ingenious Kevin Sanders (solo artist, Jackie Treehorn).
After a roller coaster ride of adventures and misadventures, The Way Of Wyrd wove the "Road Rash" EP into the picture as the first official Vile Ent release. Four tracks of unhinged Electro-Rawk madness are waiting to both shatter your sanity and get your ass on the floor. Vocalist and songwriter Vile Ent and guitarist/DJ MrBUMP throw down a badass jam. MrBUMP provides explosive yet tasteful instrumentation supporting Vile's Funked up Rock 'n' Roll storytelling.
The Road Rash EP Rocks so hard your face is going to peel and your head is going to explode. The humour is so hilarious that you will laugh your ass off, and as you are destroyed Vile Ent will put you back together and set you straight with Electro-Punk anthems like "FUCK IT" (reworked from the Violent Christ days), Interstellar Cosmic Grooves like "I Live For Sound", and Dimensional-Sexual anthems like "Fresh Pussy Lazer". "Road Rash" sets the pace and begins the chaotic journey amongst squished toads and garden gnomes, painting a picture of mental illness, homelessness, and addiction and somehow managing to make it fun beyond belief!
lyrics
I live my life sonically, not physically
You say I live my life unnaturally
It’s coming to the point
where I’m gonna fade in
to this 8-bar break that I’m singin’ in
And disappear from the files
that you got on me
They were created in a lab
artificially
You see the waves emanate another frequency
And I’m reaching other planes quite consciously
I don’t care what you’re doing in your dungeon dark
Because I am jammin’ to the beat in the Sonic Freak Park!
Try to catch me in your web of bureaucratic smoke,
but the obsolete system’s just a dying joke.
Chorus: I Live For Sound
Endocrinic waves wash away the fear
in this mesotronic age of the mammoth spear
Neandertalic Vikings we were on Earth
But in this sound sphere we receive a new birth
Awash in pussy nebula pulsations, entranced with massive
Funk gyrations
When the party’s goin’ down we are on it like Phoenicians
And the heat of the crowd is a hot love sensation
We’re hooked right in to the core of sound
And in here at least, our Earth is round
Rockin’ hard on our instruments of Power
the aureole is about to reach the flower
and the nebula speaks through synaptic lines of love
We will give it a push, then we’ll give it a shove
Forging onward, opening the orifice
On the cave walls were MYSTERIOUS HIEROGLYPHS
Chorus
Music meditating in the pitch black womb
And the birth of sound is conceived on the loom
Travelling back through weblines infinite
the mounting equines are assuredly definite
We’re blowing their minds inside the disco ball
Multiplying facets of sacred Odin’s Hall
Diamonded spectrum, Valhalla’s pride,
the Goddess Frigga rules by his side
We’re makin’ love to the sound that gets us high
Of open thighs, and heaving sighs
Spreading the labia the way Rod prescribed
Sonically tuned to the kHz tribe
Incognito manifesto in the Vile Ent mind
Proving that sound is the way to unwind
DJ K-Man is the king of psychotropic sound
He’s the hottest motherfucker that I’ve ever found

There's something special about this band. They truly shine when they slow down, which is kind of rare. Really enjoyed this but what a f**king weird way to end the album. warchrist30

These Serbs show that Death/Doom is still not only enjoyable, but still has room to breathe and grow. While these guys most definitely are heavily influenced by the best the British and Finnish offered the genre, they twist around ever so slightly in a way that is familiar yet fresh. 3.5/5 ClassyMusicSnob
